Gilles is a medical practitioner with a longstanding interest and involvement in health and environmental issues. He has worked in a variety of fields of medicine in Australia and France, including general practice, occupational and environmental medicine, Aboriginal health and travel medicine. He participates in the activities of local and national groups and NGOs that address the environment and public health, climate change, natural resource management and urban agriculture.
