Lyn spent some years in the environmental impact assessment business before moving to the non-profit sector to lead national and international campaigns covering Antarctic protection, oceans conservation, climate change and ozone depletion.
She then widened her focus to development and capacity building, and to social justice and women’s advocacy sectors, establishing Campaign Essentials Pty Ltd in 2002. There she worked with non-government organisations to help them increase their efficiency and effectiveness, assisting managers to map and manage their business knowledge and influence networks, and so manage organisational and cultural change, improve staff and cost effectiveness, and increase revenues and profitability. Lyn also serves on a number of non-government sector boards and government advisory committees.
Lyn was awarded the Order of Australia (Member) for services to conservation and environment in 1991, and the New Zealand Antarctic Conservation Trophy in 1990.
