Tony is a public health physician and an authority on environmental health and health promotion. His research focuses on urban futures, sustainability and human health. Tony is currently working with the International Council for Science to develop a new global interdisciplinary science program on health and wellbeing in changing urban environments using systems approaches. He has held National Health and Medical Research Council and World Health Organization fellowships and has served in public health leadership positions in Australia and internationally. He is adjunct professor of public health at the University of Canberra and visiting fellow at the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health, ANU.
